Privacy Policy

Last updated: [DATE]. This is a draft — have it reviewed by a lawyer before relying on it.

1. What we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo. When you use CalQu, we store your business profile (name, GST number, address, logo), the quotations you create (including your customers' names, phone numbers and, where provided, email addresses), and payment records for any quotation packs you purchase (via Razorpay — we do not receive or store your card/UPI details).

2. Why we collect it

To operate the Service: generating quotations, calculating GST, sending WhatsApp reminders on your behalf, scheduling followups, and processing quotation-pack purchases. We do not sell your data or your customers' data to third parties.

3. Cookies

CalQu uses cookies/local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Where Google Analytics is enabled, it sets its own cookies to help us understand which calculators and trades are most used — you can decline this by not accepting the cookie banner where analytics is optional, though core sign-in functionality requires basic storage to work.

4. Third-party services

We use Google (sign-in), Razorpay (payments), and Cloudinary (storing quotation PDFs and uploaded images) to run CalQu. Each processes the minimum data needed for their function and has its own privacy policy.

5. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently erased from our systems, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (for example, financial records under Indian tax law) — [confirm and document your actual retention practice here].

6. Your rights

You can view and edit your business profile at any time from Settings, and permanently delete your account and all associated data from the same page. For any other request — access, correction, or a question about how your data is used — contact us.

7. Grievance officer

In accordance with applicable Indian data protection law, grievances relating to this Policy may be addressed to: [GRIEVANCE OFFICER NAME], [EMAIL], [ADDRESS]. We aim to acknowledge grievances within [X] days.

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
